TFL and Micro Scooters - A Greener School Run

Tfl and Micro Scooters - a greener school run

We are delighted to once again be partnering with Transport for London (TfL) on their Transport for Life program, a program designed to encourage families to consider active modes of transport, such as push scooters, on the school run.

School Run Scooters

Travel for Life is a TfL accreditation program, offering schools and education settings across London a series of free educational programs from age 3 to 17 designed to inspire young Londoners to travel actively, responsibly and safely. They award a gold, silver or bronze accreditation based on the number of activities that have been completed.

Over 1500 schools have already achieved accreditation. It's really easy to register and there are over 120 activities to chose from. TFL's new accreditation support team, will be happy to help you register, plan and deliver!

Micro, in partnership with TfL, have created a series of activity cards that schools will be able to complete, along with other active travel activities including art competitions and presentations as part of the Youth Travel Ambassadors programme. When schools complete the Micro Scooters/TfL activities they will be in with the chance of winning a range of Micro Scooters prizes including fleets of push scooters for schools, special Micro Scooters Scoot Safe sessions that will help teach children to scoot safely, and Micro Scooters accessories including water bottles, bells and lights so children can stay safe and hydrated on the active school run.

Each year Travel for Life schools replace 13 million miles worth of car journeys with walking, cycling and scooting. Their partnership with us aims to encourage even more children to use push scooters (not electric scooters) to get to and from school.

Happy Scooting!
