1. Social Media Executive (Part Time)

The Role
Reporting into the Marketing Director you will be responsible for creating content and community management for all Micro’s social channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. You will create plans for social channels to support product launches, events, brand stories and marketing messages.

You will be responsible for our Scooter Aid scheme.  Managing the requests for this scheme and liaising with the organisations who receive Scooter Aid donations to tell their stories.

You will be responsible for writing and commissioning content for the Micro Scooters blog to strengthen SEO, support marketing messages and to strengthen brand partnerships.

About You

  • At least 2 years social media experience creating content and campaigns for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. 
  • Strong creative eye with proven record of creating engaging content.
  • Strong written skills, with experience in writing for Facebook and Twitter, as well as longer blog articles.
  • Extensive experience creating content calendars with examples of utilising new technology and ideas
  • A sound knowledge of analytics.  Being able to report on the benefit of social media back to the business.

Hours, Remuneration & Working Location

We are looking for someone to work 16-20 hours a week. 

We are looking for someone who can commute one day a week to Mersea Island or Wokingham.

This is to ensure you can catch up with the marketing team on a regular basis.

2. Customer Services – Evening Shift (Part Time)

The Role
We are looking for an excellent communicator to answer customer questions and queries via Live Chat, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram in the evenings and weekends.

The role is home based for 8 hours a week (with extra shifts available in peak season).

We are looking for someone local to Colchester or who is willing to commute to Colchester 1 day every 2 months for product training.

About You

  • Fluent or Native English Speaking
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to think quickly and answer queries with a good level of accuracy
  • Strong written skills with excellent attention to detail 

Hours, Remuneration & Working Location

This is a permanent part time role for 8 hours a week.  There are always opportunities to increase the hours throughout the year.  The role will be home based.  The ideal applicant will live locally to West Mersea in Essex or be able to commute to the location infrequently.  The rate of pay is £10 per hour with a free company scooter.
