We are delighted to announce that the Micro Sprite Glow recently won a coveted gold award in the Junior Design Awards 2025.
In August, 26 expert judges, including presenter Ashley James, Creative Director at Monsoon Children, Caroline Jackson, and @thedadlab himself Sergei Urban, met with the Junior Design editorial team to decide on this year’s best children’s products.
The Sprite Glow won joint Gold in the 'Best Toy Design for 6 years+'. The judges loved how lightweight this scooter is, and could see how its weather-resistant grips, sturdy aluminium frame, and reliable brakes would make it a fun, safe and exhilarating ride. The Sprite Glow received bonus points for its long lifespan (5-12 years) and its easy-to-fold-down motion."
Not to be totally outdone, our range of bike and scooter safety helmets received a Silver Award in the 'Best Bike and Scooter Accessory' category.
The judging panel loved the fun and friendly prints and illustrations on these helmets, which they thought were guaranteed to appeal to young kids. They love our commitment to rigorous safety testing and the myriad of clever in-built features, such as an LED rear light, which really impressed the panel. They also appreciated the Eco option in this range, made using recycled EPS, bottle-plastic straps, bamboo padding, and water-based paints. With an emphasis on comfort – adjustable straps, a multi-sizing dial, breathable vents, soft inner padding – the judges concluded that Micro Scooters has designed a helmet that children will be happy to wear.
