Everything you ever wanted to know about a Scootathlon.
Are you looking for a fun family day out?
Letting your children take part in a Scootathlon could be just the ticket.
Run by our friends at the Human Race in association with Banana Triathlon, a Scootathlon is a mini-triathlon involving a scoot, cycle, and run. Held at Dorney Lake, the popular scootathlon is a fun pre-event race consisting of a 390m scoot, a 390m cycle and a 250m run, it is open to children between the ages of 4 and 8.
After the race, each child is awarded a medal and a race t-shirt. It is a fun day out for all the family.
Banana Tri is one of the most distinctive triathlon events in the UK. It’s hosted close to London at Dorney Lake, the premium triathlon venue used during the 2012 Olympics, known for its clear waters and flat bike/run course. The ‘bananas’ atmosphere and plentiful support help keep spirits high; there are free bananas for all and, as always, extra points if you wear yellow!
