Product Description

Brake replacement: step-by-step

Tools & safety: Allen keys, screwdriver, replacement brake, gloves, eye protection. Secure the bike; springs are under tension.

  1. Remove back wheel screws with the correct Allen key and remove the wheel.
  2. Remove the pivot bolt, keeping note of the bolt direction.
  3. Hold the spring while removing the old brake assembly.
  4. Insert the new brake and position the spring correctly.
  5. Reinsert and align the pivot bolt; use a screwdriver to hold it while threading.
  6. Tighten the pivot bolt and check alignment.
  7. Refit the wheel and tighten the screws with the Allen keys. Test the brake.
